I went through all the same problems as you do. Perhaps your particular inateck card is a lemon. In your case it seems you have gotten quite far into the troubleshooting list (so I assume you have tried this too), but, to be sure, have you tried having only the rift's USB3 plugged into the card?īetween the suggestions by others and mine above, I would think that you will have done all that you can. I start getting problems with anything else significant plugged into the spare ports.

I can only have the rift's USB3 in one end port, plus the sensor's USB3 into the opposite end. On mine, there are 3 "sets" of ports outlined on the rear i/o panel. The inateck card could be overheating when your GPU is VR'ing.

What is the clearance of your inateck card from your GPU? Some ppl have had to install theirs really close to their GPU. How close would you be to your PSU's max wattage? High GPU usage in VR + USB3 power draw may be too much for a borderline/older power supply. I read that you have your internal power connected, but try using a different power connector (preferably from an entirely different power cable). Have you removed and re-seated your card into the pcie? Tried a different pcie if you have one? Did you clean out the slot before you used it (dusty older mobo)? Have you tried uninstalling the card from the device manager and re-installing with the latest drivers? There are a lot of great tips given already, but I have a few other ideas:

In the Oculus Home device page, the HMD and the sensors now all have a red triangle that indicates they recommend to update drivers, but so it seems that everything is working.

UPDATE: Like someone suggested, I've uninstalled again the Fresco Logic drivers, and let Windows 10 to take care of it. My Motherboard is a bit old, Asus Maximus IV Extreme, and I can use the Rift if plugged in one of the onboard USB 3.0 ports with a USB 3.0 HUB, but I would like my Inateck card to work properly, can anybody help me?

Then I tried the latest drivers v3.6.9.0a from the Fresco Logic website:īut with these I have again no power, like with the Windows default drivers, the HMD doesn't even turn on. Occasionally I had them to work fine, but for the most part I had problems. They seemed to work at first, but my sensors and my HMD were constantly disconnecting. So I installed the drivers v3.6.8.0a from the product page here: I have two sensors (I've got a samples Oculus Touch), so that's why I purchased the card.įirst I just tried to use the default Windows 10 Fresco Logic xHCI drivers, but they didn't work, the Rift and the sensors seemed to be recognized in Oculus Home, but the light on the HMD stayed orange, and the display didn't turn on. Hi, few weeks ago I purchased the 4-Port USB 3.0 PCI-E Card KTU3FR-4P recommended by Oculus.

If the doesn't work, does you computer have another PciE port you could move the card too. If not, try to uninstall the card from the Device Manager, then reboot your computer. Hmm, can you roll back windows to before you installed the card the first time. The drivers from the Manufaacturer suck for some reason. It is recommended, that you use the windows drivers for the card.
